We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director to join our team in Oslo, Norway. As the Technical Director, you will be responsible for managing interdisciplinary projects throughout the tender, feasibility, and detail design stages in Norway. Your main objective will be to provide leadership and strategic direction to the local team, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality projects to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the operations of our office in Oslo, including supporting and managing our team in Norway.
• Provide leadership and set clear growth strategies for the local team, in collaboration with the Business Unit responsible.
• Actively support business development efforts by identifying and pursuing relevant opportunities in the local market.
• Serve as the main point of contact for local clients, contractors, and designers, establishing and maintaining strong relationships.
• Contribute to the development of the local market by generating innovative ideas and identifying potential opportunities.
• Provide technical support during the tendering process, taking on the role of proposal manager and collaborating with partners and contractors.
• Ensure the technical approval of designs and conduct regular assessments of deliverables, in accordance with internal management systems.
• Demonstrate strong technical leadership across a range of current and future projects, effectively interpreting client requirements to produce suitable deliverable packages.
• Coordinate and collaborate with staff in a multidisciplinary environment within our organization.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master's Degree in Civil Structural/Geotechnical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (longer experience will be highly valued).
• Native Norwegian speaker with excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Norwegian standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in design and analysis using various materials such as steel, concrete, precast concrete, and wood.
• Previous working experience with local designers or clients (e.g., SVV, Nye Veier, Bane NOR) will be highly valued.
