Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Engineer with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing, machining, assembly operations, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance productivity, and support manufacturing excellence through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
Conduct time and motion studies and implement process improvements using Lean methodologies.
Lead value stream mapping (VSM) initiatives to identify bottlenecks and enhance workflow.
Design and develop efficient shop-floor layouts using CAD tools and oversee projects from concept to implementation.
Integrate machines, materials, and manpower to establish highly efficient machining and assembly systems.
Perform comprehensive data, productivity, and capacity analyses to drive informed decisions.
Apply strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and automation technologies.
Explore and support integration of AI tools, including ChatGPT-based systems, into manufacturing processes.
Select appropriate equipment such as CNC machines, assembly tools, industrial machinery, and hand tools.
Reduce production waste and proactively resolve potential issues through data insights and best practices.
Implement controls to monitor costs and minimize production disruptions.
Champion Lean principles across processes, products, and projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CFTs) to meet project requirements and enhance system integration.
Prepare SOPs, Work Instructions (WI), and facility/process documentation.
Drive visual management practices on the shop floor for improved clarity and performance monitoring.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
6 to 10 years of experience in the aerospace industry, particularly in machining and assembly operations.
Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Hands-on experience with CAD tools, manufacturing systems, and Lean methodologies.
Experienced in process documentation and visual management tools.
