Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced IT/OT Security & Compliance Specialist to join one of our clients in the energy sector in Figeholm, Sweden. In this role, you will act as a key link between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT), ensuring secure, stable, and efficient operation of industrial systems and production environments. You will be responsible for supporting and developing OT infrastructure, strengthening cybersecurity across production-critical systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with production, maintenance, suppliers, and central IT teams, you will help ensure the availability, reliability, and security of industrial operations while supporting future technology investments and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities
Manage, monitor, and improve industrial OT environments
Support and secure PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial network systems
Ensure secure integration between IT and OT environments
Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, segmentation, firewalls, patching, and access management
Lead technical investigations, improvement initiatives, and investment projects
Troubleshoot production-critical systems and support incident management
Collaborate with operations, maintenance teams, suppliers, and IT functions
Conduct risk assessments, documentation, and standardization activities
Support compliance and security best practices across industrial systems
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Automation, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field and 5–8+ years of relevant experience or Another relevant IT/technical degree combined with 15+ years of experience in IT/OT, cybersecurity, industrial systems, or a related field
Experience working in industrial OT environments
Strong understanding of networks, servers, and system integration
Experience with industrial control systems such as Siemens, ABB, or Mitsubishi
Experience with IT/OT cybersecurity, including areas such as segmentation, firewalls, patch management, and access control
Knowledge of virtual environments and backup solutions (e.g., VMware, NetApp)
Experience with MES, historian systems, or other production systems
Ability to troubleshoot and support production-critical environments
Fluent Swedish and English, both written and spoken
Valid SSG-Entré certificate
Ability to work primarily on-site in Figeholm, Sweden
