HR MANAGER
• To develop and maintain professional relationships with all peers and subordinates within the companies; in order to understand and advance their human capital needs.
• To advise all levels within the group on organizational policies and Malaysian Labour and Statutory Regulations. To follow through with recommendations and implementation of required changes to the policies and/or behavioral actions of all stakeholders.
• Oversee and manage the maintenance and operation of HRIMS software to ensure efficient and effective HR Operations processing.
• To ensure that the HR Standard Operating Procedures are practiced by all HR personnel and employees diligently. To advise on improvements which can be made the SOPs and follow through with implementation. To periodically analyze and implement improvements on HR Processes and Policies.
• To serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and assisting in the resolution of work-related problems.
• To lead and manage payroll processes for timely and accurate payment of salaries, benefits, and taxes to all employees. Ensuring compliance with Malaysian employment laws, statutory requirements, and tax regulations affecting payroll.
• Liaise with HR and finance departments to ensure alignment of payroll with overall HR policies and accounting procedures.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the payroll team by implementing and maintaining payroll best practices to improve efficiency and ensure data integrity.
• Oversee the submission of all necessary documentation for tax deductions, EPF (Employees Provident Fund), SOCSO (Social Security Organization), and EIS (Employment Insurance System) contributions in accordance with Malaysian regulations.
• Stay up to date with changes in legislation and regulations affecting payroll processes and ensure all changes are accurately reflected in payroll operations.
• To ensure on time operations of the Performance Appraisal and Performance Management tailored to Job Descriptions, in order to identify ’STAR’ employees and to improve on overall performance of the group.
• Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labour relations, and employee relations.
• Oversee the filing and maintenance of employee personnel records. Compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
• To handle and resolve employee complaints & grievances, to referee & settle disputes of the employee relations nature. To represent the group at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
• Perform staffing duties, including overseeing and managing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, terminating employees, and administering disciplinary procedures according to the current Malaysian Employment Act.
• Identify staff vacancies, perform second level interviews, and shortlist suitable candidates for the hiring manager on an ad-hoc basis. Manage the hiring process for Management level positions and above.
• To represent the organization at personnel related hearings & investigation.
• To manage and oversee, Employee Engagement & Recreational Programs which will benefit the mental and physical health of employees within the group as well as to foster positive attitude towards the groups’ organizational objectives.
• Prepare higher level reporting; Monthly Consolidated Payroll Report, Quarterly Employee Lifecycle Report, Yearly HR Budget Report
