Manufacturing Engineer (Leak Testing)
We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in leak testing to work on an exciting project with a pioneering client in the renewable energy sector. In this role, you will contribute to the development and optimization of testing processes for innovative manufacturing technologies. This position offers the chance to collaborate on cutting-edge projects that drive innovation in energy storage and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct the development and refinement of testing processes, such as leak testing, Hipot, and continuity testing, to ensure product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Partner with equipment teams to design, build, and install testing systems, ensuring seamless integration into production environments.
- Conduct statistical analysis and process capability studies (e.g., Design of Experiments) to optimize testing methods and improve manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to enhance process reliability and yield.
- Take ownership of testing processes from concept through high-volume production in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Provide feedback to design teams to ensure products are optimized for manufacturability and testing efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in process or manufacturing engineering.
- Hands-on experience with leak testing methods and continuity testing for welded joints or other critical assembly processes.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to testing systems and processes.
- Strong technical documentation skills, including the ability to create detailed process specifications and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments with accountability for process quality, throughput, and yield.
