Position: Senior Electrical Estimator

We are seeking an experienced, well-rounded, and technically astute Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for a leader with 5–10 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial construction—including projects such as schools, hospitals, and federal work—who demonstrates a proven track record of excellence and success.

Key Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in electrical estimating field experience as an electrician or a degree in Construction Management is preferred.

Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with estimating software and a strong ability to conceptually estimate electrical construction projects. Familiarity with interpreting all types of drawings and technical specifications.

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the electrical construction industry, including the National Electrical Code and related systems such as fire alarms.

Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in managing estimating functions, mentoring team members, and fostering effective relationship building with project leaders.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with a statistical background, plus excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools like Teams.

Job Responsibilities:

Estimating Functions: Plan, coordinate, and direct all estimating activities, including the development of project budgets, cost tracking, and project support across divisions.

Process Management: Develop and implement departmental standards and procedures; review final estimate packages for accuracy and completeness.

Team Leadership: Provide regular feedback, delegate work assignments, and mentor team members to encourage professional growth.

Bid Management: Review bid requests and proposals, prepare a weekly bid calendar, and ensure timely and accurate completion of estimates.

Field Coordination: Attend job walks and report critical differences in drawings and bid requirements to leadership.

Tracking & Analysis: Maintain an estimate tracking log, analyze estimates versus completed projects, and provide regular updates.

Training & Administration: Develop estimating training for team members, maintain confidentiality, and organize all related files and documentation.

Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned to support overall department success.
