Electrical Engineer – LV / MV / HV Systems
Power up your career! 🌍 We’re hiring Electrical Engineers with LV/MV/HV experience for leading energy projects in Italy.
About the Role
We are seeking specialist electrical engineers with core experience in either LV, MV, or HV systems to join one of Europe’s leading players in power infrastructure, substation automation, and electrification projects. Whether your strength lies in low-voltage panels, MV switchgear, or high-voltage substations, this opportunity allows you to deliver cutting-edge energy projects across Italy.
Join a team working across utility, industrial, and renewable energy sectors, delivering safe, reliable, and compliant power systems — from 400V up to 400kV.
What You’ll Do
Depending on your voltage experience (LV, MV, or HV), responsibilities may include:
LV (≤1kV) Focus
- Design & configuration of LV panels, MCCs, distribution boards, and power factor correction systems
- Electrical layouts, control wiring diagrams, and terminal plans
- Site supervision during LV switchgear installation, testing & commissioning
- Panel interface for UPS, DG, battery banks, and automation systems
MV (1kV–36kV) Focus
- Design and testing of 11kV–33kV switchgear (AIS/GIS), RMUs, VCB panels
- Relay coordination, CT/VT sizing, and protection schemes using ABB, Siemens, or Schneider relays
- Work on MV substations (primary & secondary) and grid-tied renewable projects
- Fault level studies, cable sizing, and coordination with utilities (ENEL, A2A, Acea)
HV (≥36kV to 400kV) Focus
- Engineering of HV substations (AIS/GIS), HV busbar layouts, surge protection, and earthing systems
- Familiarity with ENEL Distribuzione, TERNA standards, and CEI 0-16 grid codes
- Participate in FAT, SAT, and protection relay configuration for grid-connected assets
- Coordination with TSOs/EPCs on interconnection, HV testing (HiPot, partial discharge)
Must-Have Qualifications
✔ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
✔ 3–15 years of experience working with either LV, MV, or HV systems in infrastructure, utility, or EPC settings
✔ Strong command over applicable CEI/IEC standards and utility specifications
✔ Proficiency with one or more tools: ETAP, PowerFactory, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, DigSilent, or SCADA systems
Nice to Have (Based on Voltage Tier)
- LV: Experience with building electrification, industrial automation, or smart factories
- MV: Exposure to renewable interconnection (solar, BESS) or MV relay protection design
- HV: Hands-on commissioning experience at TERNA grid-connected sites, or GIS bays design
Why Join This Opportunity
- 🏗️ Be part of Italy’s power modernization, working on smart substations, renewable energy, and e-mobility
- 🌍 Work across industrial, utility, and digital substation environments
