About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Project Manager / Epic Owner to lead and finalize a critical internal digitization project for our client in Västerås.
This role combines traditional Project Management responsibilities (using a gate model) with the responsibilities of an Epic Owner within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) setup. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the execution of a medium-to-large, moderately complex internal project, ensuring scope, quality, financial targets, and schedule commitments are met according to the company policies.
Specific Project Focus: Digitization of Image Cards
The primary purpose of this assignment is to complete the final phase of the project and ensure successful delivery according to plan, ensuring structure and order across all documentation and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Senior Project Manager / Epic Owner, you will lead the project execution and governance:
1. Project Leadership & Execution:
- Lead and drive the project's final activities according to the established schedule.
- Ensure the successful execution and delivery of the assigned project on time, within budget, and meeting quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate resources and manage communication effectively between internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Identify, track, and manage risks; proactively address any deviations or challenges to ensure project continuity.
- Report project status and progress clearly and regularly to the steering group and relevant internal stakeholders.
- Ensure structure, integrity, and order across all project documentation and deliverables.
2. Governance & Methodologies:
- Lead the execution of the assigned project/Epic according to either the gate model guidance or the SAFe setup (where the project is defined as an EPIC and the leader as the Epic Owner).
- Establish and oversee the project execution approach, monitoring, and control activities for both internal and external resources.
- Apply the ability to assess, propose, and implement solutions for rapid recovery of troubled or challenged projects (on a need basis).
Required Qualifications:
* Experience & Education
- Mandatory: Minimum six (6) years of experience managing projects within a relevant technical field, ideally managing complex projects.
- Mandatory: Proven experience driving projects from start to finish, preferably in digitization or similar internal transformation projects.
- Highly Desired: Experience within the relevant field for MACH EPIC owners (Electronics product development including Hardware, software, FPGA, and mechanics development).
- Education (Option 1): Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with domain experience in renewable energy business.
- Education (Option 2): Another technical degree with 10–15 years of work experience within the relevant field.
* Certifications:
The following certifications are highly valued and demonstrate capability in both Waterfall and Agile environments:
- Certified Senior Project Manager OR PMP® Certified Senior Project Manager OR IPMA Level B/C certification.
- Certified SAFe Agilist, Scrum Master, Product Owner / Product Manager.
* Skills & Competencies:
- Structured and Driven: Exceptional ability to create order, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain focus to meet strict deadlines.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent collaboration skills and clear, effective communication across all organizational levels.
- Agile Methodology: Proven ability to work with projects of different sizes, complexity, and contractual types, including those within a SAFe setup.
- Meritorious: Experience in change management and working in an international environment.
* Language Requirements (MANDATORY):
- Swedish (Skallkrav): Fluency in both written and spoken Swedish is mandatory. (Note: Resources who only speak English cannot be offered.)
- English: Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
