Role Overview
We are hiring an experienced Director of Operations for one of our client to lead multiple managers and operational departments at our South Windsor, CT facility. This onsite leadership role focuses heavily on operational execution, production performance, vendor management, supply chain coordination, talent development, and process optimization through LEAN principles. You will drive operational excellence, ensure on-time delivery, and create a high-performance environment across all teams.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee daily operations for multiple production departments.
- Ensure quality, safety, customer needs, and on-time delivery targets are met.
- Set department and individual goals using a LEAN approach.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal business units.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and unit cost performance.
- Develop managers and team members through coaching and continuous learning.
- Attract, retain, and grow talent across departments.
- Facilitate training, mentoring, and upskilling programs.
- Support production planning, scheduling, vendor management, and supply chain activities.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of relevant operational leadership experience (Fintech/industry preferred)
- Strong ability to lead diverse teams and departments
- Skilled in communication across different styles and levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability; uses logic and data to drive decisions
- Capable of identifying trends, interpreting complex information, and making informed recommendations
- Experience with LEAN practices or continuous improvement mindset
- Strong vendor management, production planning, and supply chain coordination skills
