Solution Architect
About the Assignment
One of our public sector clients is looking for a driven and experienced Solution Architect who wants to help shape the digital services of the future. You will play a key role in an architecture and development team responsible for both new development and further enhancement of business-critical systems and integration solutions.
In this role, you will act as a bridge between business operations, development, and IT operations, ensuring that solutions are designed to be sustainable, secure, and scalable.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect, your main responsibilities will include:
Designing solution architecture for both new and existing systems, including integration patterns, data flows, and security aspects.
Ensuring that proposed solutions fit the organisation’s existing IT landscape and comply with architectural principles and guidelines.
Collaborating closely with developers, project managers, product owners, security teams, and operations.
Contributing to technical decisions, platform choices, and creating architectural and system documentation.
Supporting both new development initiatives and the modernisation of existing systems.
Working closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Participating in procurement processes, requirements definition, and technical assessments.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
At least 3 years of experience working as a Solution Architect or in a similar architectural role.
Documented experience designing solutions in complex IT environments.
Experience with modern integration methods (API, REST, event-driven architecture, message brokers, etc.).
Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Solid understanding of information security, IAM, identity management, and access models.
Ability to produce architectural documentation, models, and technical decision material.
Preferred Qualifications
It is highly beneficial if you also bring:
Experience working within the public sector or large organisations.
Knowledge of ArchiMate, UML, C4 models, or similar frameworks.
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and/or container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes).
Experience with procurement processes, requirements analysis, or technical advisory roles.
Additional Information
Scope: 100%
Work Model: Hybrid (on-site + remote, depending on client needs)
Location: Flexible (based on the client’s arrangements)
Start Date: By agreement
Duration: Initial contract of 6–12 months, with strong potential for extension
