Packaging Engineer (Senior Electrical Engineer)

Role description:
We are looking for a highly qualified Package Responsible Engineer (Senior Electrical Engineer) to join our team in Stavanger. The ideal candidate will have solid experience from the oil and gas industry as well as strong technical expertise within power supply systems, especially 690V and 11kV switchgear.
The position requires a proactive professional who takes ownership of the delivery of technical packages, ensures compliance with applicable rules, regulations and standards, and collaborates effectively with suppliers, customers and internal disciplines.
Job duties:
Technical and packaging design
Establish technical input into packaging strategies.
Prepare technical requests and specifications for quotation and procurement documents.
Conduct technical pre-order activities.
Plan, implement and coordinate technical follow-up activities.
Perform necessary follow-up and coordination of technical procurements.
Perform and coordinate approval of supplier documentation and drawings.
Review and quality assure supplier documentation.
Update and provide input to the engineering database.
Perform and coordinate technical change management (Change Control).
Conduct technical closeout activities and supplier evaluations.
Supplier and customer coordination
Collaborate closely with the customer's technical specialists.
Coordinate and follow up with suppliers in the procurement and production phase.
Participate in performance tests and inspections at suppliers.
Follow up and support work on site and answer technical inquiries.
Ensure correct handling and completion of as-built documentation (tags and drawings).
Qualifications and experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Solid experience with power supply systems, especially:
690V switchboard system
11kV switchboard system
Experience with heating cables/heat trace (Computrace is an advantage).
Good knowledge of offshore EIT installations and requirements.
Experience and knowledge of relevant design rules, regulations and standards.
Solid experience with supplier coordination and technical follow-up.
Good experience with as-built documentation (tags and drawings).
Education:
Vocational school / Technical vocational school.
Professional certificate / Vocational education.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical power/electrical engineering (preferred).
Certificates:
FSE certificate.
EX-course.
Basic safety course incl. HUET.
