Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team in Bergen. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical system engineering across onshore and offshore oil & gas projects. The position involves technical design, vendor coordination, documentation preparation, and support during installation and commissioning phases. You will contribute to the successful delivery of electrical systems while ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical system engineering for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects.
Conduct cable sizing and electrical calculations.
Prepare technical requisitions and specifications for electrical packages and equipment procurement.
Manage vendor follow-up and review supplier documentation.
Approve technical documentation and monitor delivery of equipment such as 690/400V distribution boards, UPS systems, transformers, and variable speed drives (VSDs).
Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data sheets.
Prepare engineering work packages for project execution.
Support cost and weight estimation within a multidisciplinary project environment.
Prepare documentation for onshore installation activities.
Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and conduct onshore/offshore surveys when required.
Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality standards, project schedules, and client expectations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
5–10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
Experience working on onshore or offshore projects within the oil & gas industry.
Knowledge of ATEX requirements and ATEX-certified equipment.
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and industrial electrical equipment.
Experience with engineering documentation, procurement support, and vendor coordination.
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Service-oriented mindset with flexibility and strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience with the following tools is preferred:
TIME
MIPS
Procosys
Additional Information:
Offshore certifications are considered an advantage but are not mandatory.
