Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager for one of our clients to lead the full lifecycle of complex delivery projects at the company in Västerås. You will be responsible for project execution, contract compliance, customer satisfaction, financial results, risk management, stakeholder communication, and ensuring high-quality delivery within scope, time, and budget. This includes managing resources, handling deviations/claims, and driving continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
Lead execution of medium to large and moderately complex customer projects
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets
Manage risks, issues, resources, and dependencies
Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders
Ensure compliance with the company’s policies, quality standards, and methodologies (PMP, Agile, Waterfall)
Handle negotiations, deviations, and claims with suppliers and customers
Conduct project reviews and drive continuous improvement
Who You Are
Must-Have Requirements
Minimum 6 years of project management experience (ideally with complex projects)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another technical degree with 10–15 years of relevant experience
Certified Senior Project Manager, PMP®, or IPMA Level B/C (highly valued)
Strong ability to lead projects of varying size, complexity, and contractual types
Fluent in spoken and written English (mandatory)
Valid SSG-Entré certificate
Ability to work onsite preferred (hybrid possible after training)
Nice to Have
Strong written and verbal skills in Swedish (meritorious)
Experience in power systems, HVDC, or energy sector projects
Ability to support troubled projects and implement rapid recovery solutions
