Role Overview
We are seeking an Associate Family Law Attorney with 2–4 years of hands-on California family law experience. Candidates must have foundational family law knowledge, including dissolution, support calculations, and custody frameworks.
This role offers structured mentorship, hands-on training, and a clear path for professional growth. Associates will focus purely on practicing family law, with no administrative or collections duties, and will receive guidance and support to develop their skills and advance within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Manage family law cases under supervision, including dissolution, custody, and support matters
Draft legal documents: marital settlement agreements, declarations, motions (writing samples required)
Participate in hearings and court proceedings (court experience preferred)
Collaborate with a collegial team focused on mentorship and growth
Grow professional skills under structured training with clear promotion paths
Required Qualifications
2–4 years of California family law experience
Active California Bar membership
JD from an accredited law school
Foundational family law knowledge (dissolution, custody, support, asset/debt matters)
Legal drafting skills: MSAs, declarations, motions (writing samples required)
Client-focused, empathetic, coachable, and collaborative
Preferred Qualifications
Court experience is a plus
Steady tenure at prior firms demonstrating commitment and growth
Interest in a firm prioritizing female attorneys and team cohesion
