Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist for one of our clients, to act as the key link between R&D projects and the local Supply Chain department in Ludvika. In this role, you will support approximately 15 R&D projects by coordinating material and component sourcing, collaborating with R&D engineers and suppliers, and ensuring products are delivered with the right quality, function, and on time. You will work with a wide variety of manufacturing processes (hot forging, casting, machining, extruding, etc.) and materials (aluminum, steel, glass-fiber, copper, brass, stainless steel, polymers).
What You’ll Do
Serve as the interface between R&D projects and Supply Chain / Category Managers
Create material requirements and coordinate sourcing for R&D projects
Work closely with R&D engineers and suppliers to find optimal solutions
Ensure timely delivery with correct quality and functionality
Support handover and collaboration with experienced SCM R&D personnel
Manage procurement processes including supplier selection, negotiation, and performance follow-up
Who You Are
Must-Have Requirements
Several years of experience in procurement, preferably in a technical or R&D environment
Ability to understand technical drawings and recommend suitable manufacturing processes
Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering and supply chain
Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Fluent in spoken and written English (mandatory)
Valid SSG-Entré certificate
Ability to work 100% on-site in Ludvika
Nice to Have
Familiarity with materials such as aluminum, steel, copper, polymers, or glass-fiber
Understanding of manufacturing processes such as forging, casting, machining, extruding
