Assignment Description
We are seeking a Senior Mainframe Specialist to support a strategic modernization initiative within the financial sector. The role focuses on migrating from Broadcom/CA technologies to alternative solutions in a complex enterprise environment. You will work closely with project teams to analyze existing mainframe technologies, design replacement solutions, and support migration and implementation activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced specialist who enjoys working with critical infrastructure, large-scale systems, and modernization projects.
Job Responsibilities
Analyze current use of mainframe technologies and software
Design and evaluate replacement solutions and target architecture
Support planning and execution of migration activities
Collaborate closely with project teams and technical stakeholders
Contribute to modernization and optimization initiatives
Assist with scripting, automation, and system configuration tasks
Requirements
Must Have
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with IBM zOS
Experience with Endevor configuration and administration
Experience with cross-platform communication and integrations
Knowledge of mainframe and midrange scripting languages
Experience with Mainframe Unix System Services
Experience working with enterprise mainframe environments
Ability to work independently in complex technical projects
Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
CV must be submitted in English
Good to Have
Experience with Broadcom/CA tools such as Easytrieve, Telon, JCL Check, CA Spool, and TPX
Knowledge of mainframe SDLC, CI/CD, and VSCode
Understanding of midrange tools and integration with mainframe systems
Experience with mainframe infrastructure including CICS, IMS, databases, transaction managers, and queue systems
Experience from modernization or migration projects within enterprise environments
