Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for one of our clients in Ludvika. In this role you will independently perform and coordinate complex electrical engineering activities within HVAC substation automation. You will bring hands-on experience in substation automation design and commissioning, working with IED communication configuration, SCADA, RTU, PLC, and protocol expertise. You will identify gaps and risks in processes and propose solution recommendations.
What You'll Do
Independently perform various engineering duties applying standard engineering principles and practices
Plan, conduct, and coordinate complex engineering activities across one or more engineering disciplines
Conduct complex analyses and advanced technical studies and develop recommendations
Configure and commission HVAC substation automation systems at 66/132kV level
Configure IED communication, signal testing, SCADA, and data concentrators
Apply protocol conversion knowledge across substation automation systems
Identify gaps and risks in processes and propose solution recommendations
Coordinate activities internally and with other groups to accomplish engineering objectives
Who You Are
Must-Have Requirements:
Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical engineering and a Bachelor's or Master's degree, or alternatively 15+ years of relevant technical experience without a degree
Core knowledge and hands-on experience in HVAC Substation Automation
Hands-on experience with SCADA, RTU, PLC, Networking, and Protocol expertise
Hands-on experience in design and commissioning of HVAC substations at 66/132kV level
Experience with IED communication configuration and signal testing
Experience with SCADA configuration and data concentrator configuration
Knowledge of protocol conversion
Ability to follow processes, identify gaps and risks, and propose solution recommendations
Fluent in spoken and written English (mandatory)
Ability to work 100% onsite in Ludvika
