About the Role
We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for an experienced Senior System Developer to join a highly specialized healthcare technology initiative focused on advancing medical diagnostic workflows and genetic diagnostics.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of modern web applications used for managing laboratory samples, diagnostic orders, reports, and genomics data. You will work on solutions that improve data quality, system integrations, and information flow across healthcare platforms while supporting both operational processes and future data reuse.
This role requires a senior consultant who can work independently, collaborate with both technical and clinical stakeholders, and deliver high-quality software solutions in a complex healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development
Design, develop, and maintain modern web-based applications.
Build scalable frontend solutions using modern JavaScript frameworks.
Develop backend services using modern server or cloud platforms.
Design and consume RESTful APIs.
Improve application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
System Integration
Develop integrations between multiple healthcare applications.
Support structured information flows across laboratory and diagnostic systems.
Ensure high data quality and reliable data exchange between systems.
Contribute to technical solutions supporting genomics and laboratory workflows.
Collaboration
Work closely with technical teams, healthcare specialists, and business stakeholders.
Participate in architecture discussions and technical solution design.
Coordinate technical work independently across multiple initiatives.
Support quality assurance and risk management throughout development.
Software Quality
Deliver clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
Ensure high standards for software quality and reliability.
Requirements
9–12+ years of professional software development experience.
At least 5 years of experience developing web-based applications.
At least 5 years of frontend development experience using modern JavaScript frameworks (React or similar).
At least 1 year of backend development experience using modern server or cloud platforms (.NET, Java, or equivalent).
At least 3 years of experience developing or integrating REST APIs.
Experience collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders.
Strong understanding of software quality assurance and risk management.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical tasks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
Experience with Kubernetes.
Experience with OpenShift.
Experience implementing CI/CD solutions.
Experience working within healthcare or medical systems.
Experience with system integration projects.
Experience with administrative or public-sector environments.
