Transport Executive
Join our team as Transport Executive: coordinate orders, plan efficient loads, and keep drivers aligned for on-time deliveries with clear, collaborative processes.
Role Purpose
The Transport Executive supports the Transport Manager by running the day-to-day work across three areas: order management, load optimisation and driver coordination. The role enters and schedules customer orders, builds efficient load plans, and keeps drivers rostered, informed and compliant so that vehicles are delivered on time. The Transport Executive executes the plans and standards set by the Transport Manager and escalates decisions and exceptions upward.
Key Responsibilities
Order Management
• Receive, enter and confirm customer orders, and schedule collections and deliveries to meet agreed service levels.
• Allocate orders to vehicles and drivers, and keep customers updated on status; escalate conflicts to the Transport Manager.
• Track order progress from booking through to proof of delivery and keep order records accurate and complete.
Load Optimisation
• Build daily load plans that maximise carrier fill and minimise empty running.
• Sequence multi-drop loads efficiently around delivery windows and routes.
• Check each load against vehicle capacity and load-securing requirements before dispatch and flag any issues.
Driver Coordination
• Prepare and issue driver rosters and daily run sheets and manage day-to-day communication with drivers.
• Check driver licence validity and log working hours, rest breaks and GPS/telematics data for the Transport Manager.
• Handle first-line driver queries and issues and escalate performance or disciplinary matters to the Transport Manager & Human Resources.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
• 5 years experience in transport / logistics operations, order or dispatch coordination, or load planning.
• Strong organisational skills and comfort with scheduling, spreadsheets and TMS tools.
• A working understanding of load planning and driver documentation.
Desirable
• Diploma in Logistics, Transport or a related field.
• Familiarity with route-optimisation and telematics software.
• Awareness of JPJ driver-hours rules and GDL requirements.

Numerate and analytical, with an eye for efficient load planning.
Clear communicator and reliable team player.
Able to prioritise and stay calm under operational pressure.
Proficient with office and fleet/scheduling systems.
Effective communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
