Role: Lead Logistics
Reporting to: Head Manufacturing
Location: Sinnar, Nashik
Education Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (An MBA or relevant certification will be preferred)
Experience required: Minimum of 14-15 years of experience in Logistics & supply chain management, preferably in the automotive industry.
Technical & Professional Knowledge required
Strong knowledge of supply chain & logistics operations.
Experience in managing international logistics and export/import procedures.
Proficiency in using SAP /ERP/MRP systems & inventory management.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle logistics challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and customer management skills, with experience in managing domestic and overseas customer relationships.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively across departments.
Purpose of the role:
To collaborate & assist to Head Manufacturing in ensuring the seamless integration of logistics, Warehouse and customer management to meet both domestic and international demands. The role focuses on managing logistics for both domestic and international customers, WH dispatch schedules, and ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining cost-efficiency and quality standards.
Key responsibilities attached to the role:
Logistics & overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring smooth coordination between Production Planning, inventory management, and customer order fulfillment.
Develop and manage WH dispatch schedules based on Sales orders, customer demands, and inventory levels.
Collaborate with manufacturing, Procurement, QA , S & M and engineering teams to resolve dispatch bottlenecks and ensure timely completion of dispatches
Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives in production Planning and supply chain processes.
Coordinate the transportation and distribution of finished products for both domestic and international markets.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and freight forwarders to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
Optimize inbound and outbound logistics to reduce lead times and costs while improving overall efficiency.
Serve as the primary point of contact for domestic and overseas customers regarding order fulfillment, delivery schedules, and any logistics-related queries.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with WH team and all stakeholders
Handle any escalations related to delays, discrepancies, or logistics issues, and ensure quick resolutions.
Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability for both production and customer orders.
Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory, manage demand fluctuations, and minimize stockouts at export WH.
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export/import documentation, and customs requirements.
Stay updated on global trade policies, tariffs, and shipping regulations that may impact logistics operations.
Export WH shipment tracking & WH file updating
Payment coordination for WH sales. Responsible for Export & Domestic Warehouse Management
Co-ordination with WH team & sales for pick up of material as per customer requirement from warehouses & Export WH shipment.
Timely Check & Forward Export WH bills
Export transit shipment tracking & coordination with Export Logistics and sales to provide real time information.
