About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join our Projects team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the proper execution of construction, renovation, and refurbishment projects for restaurant facilities.
The role will ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with brand standards, approved timelines, budgets, applicable legal regulations, and corporate guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise construction projects for new locations, renovations, and major maintenance works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and brand standards.
Monitor project schedules, identify deviations, and develop corrective action plans to ensure projects are completed within agreed deadlines.
Coordinate contractors and suppliers, monitoring project progress, quality of execution, and compliance with contractual requirements.
Review and validate quantities, cost estimates, and work progress for payment approvals in line with the authorized budget.
Conduct regular site inspections and document project progress through technical and photographic reports.
Support the preparation and review of construction and renovation budgets.
Ensure compliance with local construction regulations, occupational health and safety requirements, and permits required by government authorities.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to resolve construction-related issues and maintain project timelines.
Monitor workmanship and ensure that construction activities meet the required quality and technical standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
A diploma, certification, or specialization in Construction Project Management will be considered an advantage.
3–5 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably within commercial construction, retail, restaurant, or infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of commercial construction project management and the ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and electrical drawings.
Knowledge of Panamanian construction regulations and experience managing municipal and government permits.
Strong project coordination, communication, problem-solving, and site management skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple contractors and projects while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
