Role Type: Senior Individual Contributor | Quota-Carrying | New Business Hunter
Reports to: Chief Business Officer
About the Company
Our client is an established broadband-focused engineering and technology services company with 25+ years of experience supporting broadband operators, MSOs, ISPs, and utility-broadband organizations across the United States.
The company specializes in Broadband Network Design & Engineering, GIS Transformation, Network Data Management, and related professional and managed services.
Its solutions support the broadband network lifecycle, from fiber and HFC planning and design through GIS modernization, network-data management, systems integration, and operational support.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Account Executive – US New Business Development to drive net-new customer acquisition and revenue growth across the US broadband market.
This is a hands-on, quota-carrying individual contributor role for an experienced sales professional who can personally identify opportunities, open doors, develop relationships, and close new business.
The ideal candidate will already have strong, current relationships with US broadband operators and be able to engage decision-makers across engineering, GIS, network data, fiber/OSP, network planning, construction, and operations.
This is not a traditional telecom connectivity or generic IT sales position. The focus is on selling broadband engineering, network design, GIS/data, and professional or managed services.
Key Responsibilities
Own and achieve an individual new-business revenue quota.
Identify, originate, develop, and close net-new business across assigned US accounts and territory.
Leverage existing relationships with US broadband operators to secure meetings with relevant decision-makers.
Develop relationships across Tier 1, Tier 2, regional, rural, municipal, and utility-broadband organizations.
Sell solutions across:
Broadband Network Design & Engineering
FTTH / FTTx and Fiber Design
HFC Design and Modernization
OSP Engineering and Planning
GIS Transformation
Network Data Management
Address Reconciliation and Serviceability
Network-data and managed professional services
Lead opportunities through the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close.
Conduct consultative discovery around network expansion, engineering capacity, GIS maturity, network-data quality, serviceability, and operational transformation.
Work with engineering, GIS, product, pre-sales, and delivery teams to develop customer-specific solutions.
Develop strategic relationships with relevant broadband ecosystem partners to generate introductions, referrals, and joint opportunities.
Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline, account plans, and forecasts.
What We're Looking For
10+ years of relevant US broadband/telecom sales or business development experience.
Recent experience carrying an individual sales quota.
Proven track record of personally originating and closing net-new business.
Strong, current, and transferable relationships with US broadband operators.
Existing relationships with decision-makers or senior influencers in areas such as:
Network Engineering
GIS
Network Data / Inventory
Fiber / OSP
Network Planning
Construction Engineering
Network Operations
Strong understanding of FTTH/FTTx, HFC, OSP, broadband engineering, and network operations.
Experience selling engineering, GIS/data, network design, professional services, or managed services is strongly preferred.
Existing relationships within the broader broadband engineering, construction, infrastructure, or PMO ecosystem are a plus.
Strong consultative selling, discovery, negotiation, and closing skills.
Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a lean organization.
Willingness to travel nationally as required.
What This Role Is Not
We are not primarily seeking candidates whose sales background is focused on:
Enterprise connectivity or telecom circuits
DIA, Ethernet, MPLS, SD-WAN, or similar connectivity solutions
WLAN / Wi-Fi / wireless / 5G
Cybersecurity, cloud, or data-center services
Generic IT infrastructure or IT consulting
Telecom hardware or equipment sales
Construction-only sales
Account management or renewals without significant net-new hunting experience
Candidates should be able to demonstrate that their broadband relationships and commercial experience are directly relevant to engineering, network design, GIS, network data, or professional services.
Success in This Role
Success will be measured by the ability to:
Activate existing relationships with US broadband operators.
Generate qualified net-new opportunities.
Build a strong pipeline across the company's core services.
Personally originate and close new customer relationships.
Consistently deliver against an individual revenue quota.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who can walk into a US broadband operator, reach the right decision-makers, understand their network challenges, position relevant engineering/GIS/network-data services, and turn those relationships into new revenue.
