Primary Objective(s) of Position
- The primary objective of the Head of Sales is to drive the company's revenue and gross profit growth by developing and implementing effective sales strategies
- This role involves leading the sales team, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets and objectives
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals
- Set annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets and ensure their achievements
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve high performance
- Recruit, train, and develop sales talent to build a strong sale force
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
Revenue and Profit Growth
- Focus on increasing the company's revenue and gross profit by maximizing sales opportunities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base
- Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts to ensure profitability
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Address customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Implement customer retention strategies to foster long-term partnerships
Sales Operations and Reporting
- Oversee the sales operations to ensure efficient processes and systems
- Monitor sales performance metrics and generate regular reports for senior managements
- Utilize CRM tools and data analytics to track sales activities and performance
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and other departments to align sales strategies with company objectives
- Communicate sales goals, strategies, and performance results to the sales team and senior managements
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
Person Specifications
A Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
- Minimum 7 years of working experience in logistics or supply chain sales
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Result-oriented
- Meticulous with an eye for details
