We’re looking for a Lead Mainframe Specialist to join our client’s team—a global leader in IT infrastructure services, specializing in designing, building, and modernizing critical technology systems for major enterprises.

Your Role

As a Lead Mainframe Specialist, you’ll play a key role in managing, optimizing, and securing mainframe hardware systems. Every day presents new challenges, ensuring no two projects are the same. You'll be troubleshooting, implementing high-availability solutions, and collaborating with expert teams to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Ensure optimal system performance and reliability, minimizing downtime through proactive troubleshooting
✅ Plan, implement, and maintain GDPS for high availability and disaster recovery
✅ Oversee Hardware Management Console (HMC) and Hardware Configuration Definition (HCD) tasks
✅ Apply deep expertise in zOS systems to resolve issues and enforce security best practices
✅ Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes

What You Bring

✔️ 5+ years of experience in mainframe hardware system administration
✔️ Expertise in zHardware, HMC, and HCD
✔️ Strong experience with GDPS for disaster recovery and high availability
✔️ Knowledge of zCrypto solutions (ICSF)
✔️ Solid understanding of zOS system architecture and operations
✔️ Proficiency in English (must-have)

Nice to Have:

✔️Experience with hardware migrations
✔️Knowledge of networking and switches
✔️Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices
