Client Overview:

Our client is a global leader in the maritime industry, offering digital solutions to support low-carbon, energy-efficient, and secure maritime logistics. They are seeking a 3D Graphics Developer to support simulator development, creating high-quality 3D models and virtual environments for training and simulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Simulator Scene Development:
  Create and refine simulator scenes based on electronic chart data and other relevant data sources.
• 3D Model Creation & Correction:
  Design and correct 3D object models and ship models for accurate placement in simulations.
• Data Sourcing & Conversion:
  Identify and adapt additional data sources for simulator use.
• Texture Design & Asset Creation:
  Develop textures and visual assets for 3D models and scenes.
• Simulator Testing & Assembly:
  Assemble and test simulator scenes and models for functionality and quality.
• Collaboration with Lead Developer:
  Assist with technical specifications, quotations, and smooth delivery of simulator databases.
• Process Improvement:
  Suggest new software/tools to improve 3D development processes and overall product quality.

Accountabilities:

• Ensure accurate and high-quality 3D models for maritime simulations.
• Maintain effective communication and meet project deadlines.
• Contribute to process and quality improvements in simulator development.

Qualifications:

• Education: Degree in 3D Design, Software Development, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in 3D graphics development and simulation.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in 3DsMAX.
• Expertise in Adobe Photoshop or similar 2D software.
• Experience with Low poly 3D modeling, texturing, and UV mapping.
• Game engine experience is a plus.
• Additional Skills:
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
