Key Responsibilities of a Senior Frontend Developer

• Develop and maintain high-quality web applications from concept to deployment, ensuring responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Translate UI/UX wireframes into visual elements, building efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product managers to improve usability and implement new features.
• Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability through best coding practices.
• Monitor web applications for performance issues, troubleshooting and solving problems as necessary.
• Stay informed about emerging front-end technologies and integrate them into existing projects as appropriate.
• Lead code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, promoting a culture of quality and efficiency.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Extensive experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Proficiency in front-end build tools and code versioning tools such as webpack, npm, Git.
• Solid understanding of responsive design principles and UI/UX best practices.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha and with browser testing and debugging.

Preferred Qualifications for the Role

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with server-side technologies or full-stack development is a plus.
• Understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them.
• Previous experience in agile development methodologies.
