Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned professional to lead our Solar EPC vertical as the Project Head.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and execution of
large-scale solar power projects (utility-scale and C&I), ensuring delivery excellence from concept to
commissioning. The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of hands-on experience in electrical
infrastructure and Solar EPC projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in large-scale
power transmission projects, substations, EHV networks, AC/DC systems, and transformer/substation
installations, coupled with deep expertise in with a proven track record of managing multi-megawatt
projects and leading cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership and vision for all Solar EPC projects, aligning with organizational
goals.
• Lead the end-to-end execution of solar power projects including feasibility, design, procurement,
construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Develop and implement detailed project management plans, timelines, and risk mitigation
strategies.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, statutory, and environmental standards throughout project
lifecycle.
• Manage large project budgets, cost control, resource allocation, and vendor negotiations.
• Build and mentor a high-performance project execution team; oversee recruitment, training, and
performance management.
• Drive stakeholder engagement including clients, government agencies, DISCOMs, consultants,
and vendors.
• Conduct regular project reviews, generate MIS reports, and present progress to the board.
• Identify new technologies, innovations, and process improvements to enhance project efficiency
and profitability.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering and Master’s degree or MBA
preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project management within the solar or renewable energy
sector, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Deep understanding of solar PV technologies, BOS components, SCADA, grid integration, and
regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience in executing utility-scale solar projects (50MW and above) and/or large
industrial rooftop/C&I projects.
• Proficient in project planning tools (Primavera/MS Project), AutoCAD, PVsyst, and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively and manage geographically dispersed project teams.
Preferred:
• PMP/Prince2 certification or equivalent.
• Familiarity with MNRE, SECI, and state-level solar policy frameworks.
• Experience working with international EPC standards or global solar developers is a plus.
