Key Responsibilities – IoT Software and Embedded Systems Development

• Design, develop, and deploy IoT firmware, middleware, and cloud-based applications
• Integrate hardware devices and sensors with cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, GCP IoT, etc.)
• Ensure device connectivity, security, and data integrity across distributed systems
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, backend developers, and product teams on end-to-end IoT solutions
• Develop APIs, protocols, and interfaces for device-to-device and device-to-cloud communication
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve cross-platform IoT integration issues
• Optimise system performance, power consumption, and scalability
• Stay abreast of advancements in IoT technologies, protocols, and industry trends

Skills and Experience – IoT Protocols, Cloud Platforms, and Embedded Programming

• Hands-on experience with IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, WebSockets, BLE, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of microcontroller platforms (ARM, ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.)
• Expertise in embedded programming languages (C, C++, Python, or Node.js)
• Experience with cloud IoT platforms (Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT Core, Google Cloud IoT Core) and device provisioning
• Familiarity with wired and wireless connectivity standards (WiFi, Ethernet, Cellular, Bluetooth, etc.)
• Proficiency in data handling, analytics, and security within IoT ecosystems
• Comfortable with version control systems and collaborative code management (Git, SVN)
• Clear, inclusive, and effective communication skills in English
