Job Title: QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are hiring a skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with proven experience in automated testing frameworks and quality assurance best practices. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation test suites for high-impact software projects across energy, automation, and digital solutions. You will collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure the highest levels of software reliability, scalability, and performance for our enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities in Software Quality Assurance and Automated Testing

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and regression testing.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to review requirements and provide test analysis and recommendations.
• Set up, configure, and manage automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for fast feedback and delivery.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking and test management tools.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Monitor test executions, analyse results, and work with developers to resolve issues quickly.
• Advocate for best practices in quality assurance, risk management, and process improvements.

Required Skills for QA Automation in Software Engineering

• Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
• Solid programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# for writing reliable automation scripts.
• Thorough understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and best practices in QA.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
• Experience working in environments with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills to work effectively in a collaborative setting.

Preferred Skills & Domain Experience

• Exposure to performance testing and security testing tools is a plus.
• Background or experience in energy systems, industrial automation, or power solutions.
• Understanding of cloud-based technologies (Azure, AWS) and microservices environments.
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow) and test data management solutions.

Educational Qualifications for QA and Test Automation

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related field.
