Your Responsibilities as Automation Tester would be to:
- Develop and maintain testing strategies focusing on Automation for the Quality Assurance of our Digital offerings
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage by working closely with the software developers
- Understand requirements and design test cases that meet the product specifications.
- Design, develop and maintain the automation test framework from scratch.
- Script and build the automation test suite covering over 90% of the manual test cases.
- Build an automated regression/smoke test suite and integrate with pipeline for frequent runs
- Execute test suites, manage defects and communicate testing status
- Analyse the root cause for testing failures and open appropriate defects with sufficient findings
- Focus on quality, continuous improvement of tests and test efficiency
- Collaborate with stakeholders as and when needed
- Contribute and support during and after Release
- Mentor the new joiners in the team.
- Work in a multidisciplinary Agile team

- Conduct Test in various environments (e.g. QA, Staging, UAT and Production)
- Experience with Continuous integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD pipelines) is a plus.
- Knowledge on Version Control and branching strategy is a must
- Adhere to the Design standards and reviews, coding standards, code quality checks and reviews.
Your background:
- B.E/B.Tech (EEE/ECE/CSE/IT) with 3+ years as an automation tester.
- Experience in writing test plan, writing and executing test cases for web application, UI testing
- Strong knowledge and good work experience in Cypress automation tools.
- Strong knowledge on programming languages with greater focus on OOPs concepts like C#, Java, JavaScript.
- Strong debugging skills
- Knowledge on creating automation run reports
- Experience in testing APIs using tools like POSTMAN/Insomnia, SOAPUI, REST-Assured
- Good experience in automating APIs
- Conduct/participate in testcase reviews
- Experience in functional testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing, and regression testing
- Experience with performance and security testing is a plus
- Self-dependent and structured work
- Creative innovation driver with strong ownership in IT and OT technologies
- Passion for digitalization/automation of engineering work processes/workflows
- Communicative, convincing team-player
- Able to work in a fuzzy context where different solutions are being evaluated and discussed, establishing structure as needed
