About the Role
As a Field Service Technician, you will play a key role in the installation, maintenance, testing, retrofitting, and repair of medium- to high-voltage transformers and substation equipment. You will work independently or lead small crews at field sites, ensuring quality service and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site services including installation, repair, inspection, and testing of transformer equipment (4160V–765kV).
Execute electrical testing such as power factor, insulation resistance, SFRA, TTR, and more (training provided for junior roles; required for senior techs).
Support and/or lead crews on assignments for client sites.
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and customer requirements.
Maintain accurate reports and documentation when required.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED required; associate degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in field service, high-voltage equipment, or transformer maintenance.
Comfortable with hands-on electrical/mechanical work and working outdoors.
Electrical testing experience a strong plus for advanced roles.
Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus.
Travel is required expect to be on the road 75–85% of the time, , depending on the project.

Competitive hourly pay (dependent on experience)
Uncapped overtime opportunities (1.5x pay for OT)
