Role: Manager - Business Analytics and Intelligence
Reporting to: Head - Corporate Strategy
Location: Bommasandra, Bangalore
Education Qualification:
- B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (Tier 1 or Tier 2 Colleges Only)
- (MBA or PGDM preferred but not essential for experienced candidates)
Technical & Professional Knowledge required:
- Advanced Excel, Power BI/Tableau, SQL; Python/R is a plus
- Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP)
Experience required:
- 8–12 years of experience, with strong exposure to manufacturing operations and analytics
- Proven track record of solving real-world business problems using data
- Experience interacting directly with senior leadership or CXOs is highly desirable
Purpose of the role:
To drive data-based performance improvements across the organization, with a strong focus on manufacturing operations. The role supports broader business analytics across operational, commercial, strategic, and financial dimensions—empowering CXO-level decisions through a culture of data-driven thinking.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analytics Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive analytics roadmap aligned to strategic business goals
Institutionalize reporting frameworks and performance dashboards across functions.
Own data quality and governance practices to ensure reliability of insights across the business.
Operations-Focused Insights
Partner with plant teams to analyze data across productivity, cost, yield, quality, and downtime.
Drive insights into manufacturing efficiencies and bottlenecks to improve throughput and reduce waste.
Use analytics to support footprint optimization, sourcing strategies, inventory control, and automation efforts.
Cross-Functional Decision Support
Deliver strategic insight for business planning, pricing, capex justifications, working capital, and profitability.
Enable sales and commercial teams with demand analytics, pricing intelligence, and customer segmentation.
Collaborate with finance and corporate strategy teams to strengthen forecasting and financial modeling.
CXO-Level Engagement
Independently present insights and recommendations to the Managing Director and senior leadership.
Translate data into clear, actionable narratives that influence high-level decision-making.
Team Development
Lead and mentor a team of 2-3 Business Analysts, guiding them to solve complex business problems.
Build a culture of proactive analysis and insight generation within the team and across business units.
