Accounts Assistant

Why This Role?
We're looking for an adept and skilled "Accounts Assistant" to add to our team. As a key member of our finance department, you'll ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and contribute to our goal of maintaining financial accuracy at our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting & Reporting:
• Process payments and manage underlying administrative work
• Prepare and post GL entries/BPVs
• Compile and maintain supporting documents for transactions
• Assist in monthly account closing, including bank reconciliations and journal entries
• Support annual audits by arranging vouchers and coordinating external confirmations
2. Taxation & Compliance:
• Weekly income tax payments and PSID preparation
• Assist in the preparation and filing of Quarterly WHT statements
• Compile data and invoices for monthly and annual sales tax returns (FBR/SRB)
• Reconcile sales tax receivables with filed returns
• Assist in compiling information for annual income tax returns and computations
3. WHT Exemptions & Foreign Remittance Handling:
• Prepare WHT exemption applications for foreign payments with supporting documents
• Assist in State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) applications for foreign remittances by compiling Form M, affidavits, contracts, and agreements
• Submit cases via the SBP portal
• Manage foreign remittance payments: tax exemptions, service completion certificates, debit instructions, and document verification
• Coordinate swift messages and approvals with banks and foreign suppliers/lenders
Qualification & Experience:
- CMA Qualified (Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan – ICMA)
- 2–3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in reputable multinational organizations
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls
- Exposure to audits, budgeting, and forecasting processes is desirable
