Role: Data Scientist
Location: Gothenburg
Remote work: Up to 40% by agreement
Languages: Swedish (very good spoken and written) and English (understand and communicate).
Assignment Description:
Our client is looking for a Data Scientist for the Analytics Lab within the Business Area Planning (VO PLvsv). You will work in an advanced analytics team developing technical solutions and decision support for the long-term planning of the transport system. The focus lies on the combination of urban/societal planning and technologies such as BI, AI, GIS, Big Data, and IIoT.
The role includes responsibility for developing analytical algorithms, investigative work, data preparation, visualization, as well as traditional statistical analysis and the development of ML/AI models. Work is conducted according to agile methodology (Scrum) and in close collaboration with other parts of the organization.
Knowledge transfer to the client’s staff is also part of the assignment. The work is mainly done during office hours but may, in exceptional cases, require work at inconvenient times.
Mandatory requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist.
- At least 5 years of experience in advanced data analysis for technical applications.
- At least 5 years of experience in structured programming in Python.
- At least 3 years of experience in a LINUX environment with open-source code and applications.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in deep learning (e.g., image analysis, language models).
- At least 2 years of experience in image processing (collection, annotation, metadata management, quality assurance).
- Completed a relevant reference assignment (minimum 1200 hours, external, within the last 2 years).
- Very good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written).
- Ability to understand and communicate in English.
Merit requirements (nice to have):
- At least 1 year of experience in development on container-based platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
