Data Engineer

Assignment Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Data Engineer for the Analytics Lab within the Business Area Planning. You will be part of a team working with advanced analytics and data-driven development for the transport systems of the future.
The role involves technical responsibility for data flows, optimization and deployment of analytical algorithms, as well as work with databases, data storage, and structuring of large volumes of raw data.
You will work in complex environments that include server platforms and distributed clusters and participate in the productization of data products. Work is carried out according to agile methodology (Scrum), initially with support from colleagues, with the goal of gradually working independently. Knowledge transfer to the client’s staff is also included in the assignment.
Mandatory Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- At least 5 years of independent work with data processing and data pipelines (e.g., Dagster, AirFlow).
- At least 5 years of experience in Python programming.
- At least 2 years of experience working with databases in SQL Server, Postgres, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in Linux environments with open-source code repositories/applications.
- At least 2 years of experience handling raw data in various formats (csv, json, geopackage, etc.), preferably with DuckDB, Postgres, S3, and parquet.
- At least 1 year of experience in data collection via HTTP APIs (e.g., OpenAPI).
- Completed a relevant reference assignment (minimum 1200 hours, external, within the last 2 years).
- Very strong ability to communicate in Swedish (spoken and written).
- Good ability to read and communicate in English.
Merit Requirements (Nice to Have):
- At least 1 year of experience in development on container-based platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- At least 1 year of experience in data modeling according to Data Vault 2.0
