Mechanical PE Engineer
We’re looking for Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical Professional Engineers who are passionate about designing safe, efficient, and innovative building systems.
Location – San Antonio, TX (or) Austin, TX, (or) Dallas, Texas (Hybrid)
Why This Role?
For one of our client, we’re looking for licensed Professional Engineers (PE) specializing in Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical disciplines who bring strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality. The position will coordinate the electrical design with all other disciplines so that the design is completely coordinated internally as well as with external clients.
What you'll do:
- The primary duties and responsibilities of this position
include the following
• Prepare design documents for the project and in accordance with company standards.
• Advise and mentor staff to help in their growth
• Monitor project status and development to meet project deadlines
• Coordinate appropriate time to have a QA/QC review completed prior to the deadline
• Coordinate staffing manpower needs weekly with the Project Manager
• Assist in interviewing and providing feedback of possible future personnel
• Review the electrical budget hours and recommended adjustments with Project Manager
• Manage manpower needs/timing and monitoring the electrical budget on the project
Who you are:
- Active PE License in relevant discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing)
- Solid Industry Experience in building systems design, construction, or facilities engineering
- Technical Proficiency in relevant codes (NEC, IPC, IMC, ASHRAE, etc.) and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
- Attention to Detail with the ability to produce accurate, code-compliant, and constructible designs
- Strong Communication Skills – able to coordinate across disciplines, clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Problem-Solving Mindset – able to assess field conditions and propose practical, cost-effective solutions
- Project Ownership – accountable for meeting deadlines, budgets, and design standards
