Sales Manager Responsibilities in the Travel Industry
- Develop, execute, and manage comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the travel sector.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and accounts across the tourism, hospitality, and corporate travel markets.
- Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing sales team, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agents, partners, and industry associations.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and optimise sales channels.
- Plan and attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to grow brand presence and new leads.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and service teams to develop tailored client solutions.
- Regularly track and report on sales performance, forecasts, and KPIs to senior leadership.
Key Requirements for the Travel Industry Sales Manager
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a senior sales role within the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close deals, and exceed sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the travel market, trends, and distribution channels.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to lead, coach, and inspire a diverse sales team.
- Commercial acumen and strong analytical skills.

- Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage).
