About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and analytically sharp "Supply Chain Management (SCM) Analyst" for one of our client's to join their team in Gulberg, Lahore. This is a crucial role focused on optimizing our operational efficiency, inventory control, and logistics performance through data-driven insights.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong affinity for numbers, mastery of data analysis tools, and the drive to solve complex supply chain puzzles. While deep industry experience is a plus, a proven ability to handle data and use analytical tools is non-negotiable. Training on specific internal processes and systems will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
The SCM Analyst will be the primary resource for translating supply chain data
into actionable business intelligence.
Data & Analytics Focus (Must-Haves):
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Lead the collection, cleaning, and analysis of large datasets related to inventory levels, forecast accuracy, procurement costs, and on-time delivery performance.
- Tool Proficiency: Utilize advanced features of Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, complex functions, VBA basics) and Power BI to build dynamic dashboards and visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Query Development: Write and execute data queries (SQL, etc.) to extract raw information from ERP/SCM systems for deep-dive analysis and reporting.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain weekly/monthly SCM scorecards, identifying variances and root causes for underperformance across the supply chain.
Supply Chain Optimization:
- Demand Planning Support: Assist the planning team by analyzing historical demand patterns and current market trends to improve forecast accuracy and reduce excess inventory risk.
- Inventory Control: Conduct analysis on safety stock levels, reorder points, and lead times to optimize inventory holding costs while maintaining service levels.
- Cost & Efficiency Analysis: Evaluate the financial impact of logistics and procurement decisions, performing "should-cost" modeling and freight spend analysis to identify savings opportunities.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the end-to-end supply chain processes (from source to delivery) and propose data-backed solutions for optimization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Stakeholder Communication: Present complex analytical findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to management and cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, Sales).
- System Integrity: Support the maintenance and integrity of data within the core SCM/ERP systems, ensuring data quality for accurate analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management (SCM), Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Experience: 2–3 years of professional experience in a supply chain, operations, or data analysis role.
- Technical Proficiency (Must-Haves):Expert command of Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and modeling.Demonstrated hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Familiarity with data querying language/tools (e.g., SQL) to extract large datasets.A strong quantitative and analytical mindset with an affinity for numbers.
