We’re looking for an Electrical Designer to join our client onsite in El Dorado Hills, California, taking ownership of cabling design, subsystem connectivity, and detailed electrical documentation that keeps mission-critical systems running flawlessly.
The Role
As an Electrical Designer, you’ll play a key role in designing and documenting cabling systems and electrical interfaces across multiple subsystems. You’ll work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams to translate system requirements into accurate, optimized, and well-structured electrical layouts. Your work ensures every connection is safe, efficient, and compliant with engineering standards.
What You’ll Do
Design and document new cabling systems across multiple subsystems and electrical enclosures.
Update and modify electrical and cabling designs for existing systems.
Independently develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
Determine optimal cabling paths and configurations based on system architecture.
Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering teams to align on technical requirements.
Use industry-standard design systems to model electrical components and cabling assemblies.
Maintain accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all technical documentation.
Who You Are
Certification or hands-on experience in mechanical design, electronics, power distribution, or cable design.
Experience creating structured documentation for mechanical/electrical systems.
Strong understanding of cabling layouts, electrical details, and subsystem connectivity.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently under engineering direction.
Comfortable working onsite 5 days/week in El Dorado Hills, CA (relocation available).
