Mobile Store Accountant - Accounts & Inventory Lead
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage the daily financial operations of our mobile store. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of retail billing, inventory management, and accounting principles specific to a fast-moving retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Cash Management
Handle day-to-day billing using POS/software.
Ensure accurate customer invoicing and receipt management.
Daily cash & card reconciliation with system entries.
Inventory & Stock Management
Record inventory entries for incoming and outgoing stock.
Coordinate with store staff for daily/weekly stock tallying.
Track stock variances, damages, replacements, and returns.
Ensure accurate stock valuation in the system.
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Manage journal entries, ledger posting, and bank reconciliation.
Maintain accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and update purchase and sales registers.
Generate GST reports, e-way bills, and ensure compliance as required.
Financial Reporting
Assist in preparing monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow summaries.
Support year-end closing and audit activities.
Other Responsibilities
Ensure all records are updated and maintained as per company standards.
Liaise with vendors and internal teams for billing or payment clarifications.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or similar field.
2–4 years of accounting experience (retail/mobile store experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of billing systems, inventory modules, and accounting principles.
Proficiency in Tally/Busy/Zoho Books (or relevant software).
Good understanding of GST, stock management, and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
