Supply Chain Manager

About the Role
Sperton is hiring on behalf of its client in the printing and packaging industry. We are looking for an experienced Manager – Supply Chain to lead procurement, import/export operations, vendor management, and material planning. The role requires strong understanding of supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment, particularly printing, lamination, and flexible packaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all local and international procurement for films, inks, chemicals, spare parts, and packaging materials.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely supplies.
- Evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and issue purchase orders as per company policy.
- Coordinate with Production, Mechanical, and R&D departments for forecasting and avoiding stock shortages.
- Handle complete import/export documentation including invoices, packing lists, BL, COO, and Form-E.
- Liaise with banks for LCs, customs agents, freight forwarders, and shipping lines for smooth clearance.
- Maintain updated knowledge of customs laws, HS codes, FBR rules, and duty structures.
- Monitor shipment schedules and resolve delays to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for accurate GRNs, stock updates, and consumption tracking.
- Support production planning by aligning material availability with production schedules.
- Review supply chain data and identify opportunities to reduce cost and lead times.
- Prepare reports on imports, supplier performance, and procurement KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, audit standards, and documentation requirements.
- Assist the Supply Chain Manager in optimizing sourcing strategies and improving process efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in a supply chain role within manufacturing or packaging (printing/lamination preferred).
- Strong knowledge of import/export operations, customs clearance, LCs, HS Codes, and banking documentation.
- Experience with ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and MS Office.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to manage pressure, meet deadlines, and coordinate across multiple departments.
