Project Manager (Delivery Projects)
Lead your complex delivery projects with a PMP/IPMA-Certified SAS expert who is Fluent in Swedish and English and has 3+ years of experience in the Power Transmission domain.

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager for our client to lead medium-sized customer delivery projects within our Power Grids portfolio, focusing on Substation Automation Systems (SAS). This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of 3-5 concurrent projects, driving them from initiation through finalization, ensuring successful execution, contract compliance, and financial results.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers, lead technical engineering teams, and monitor all activities to rigorous quality, safety, and financial standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution Leadership: Lead the execution of medium-sized customer projects and/or internal projects, ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with company policies, contractual agreements, and schedule commitments.
- Portfolio Management: Take responsibility for a portfolio of three to five projects in different phases, from start to finalization.
- Team and Resource Management: Lead the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources (including coordinating activities closely with a dedicated Lead Engineer). Provides performance feedback regarding allocated resources.
- Financial & Contractual Compliance: Ensure contract compliance, achieve agreed-upon financial targets, and manage budget effectively. This includes handling deviations, claims, and negotiations with suppliers and customer representatives.
- SAP & Financial Processes: Responsible for financial operations within the projects, requiring proficiency in SAP for essential tasks, including:
- Establishing WBS (Work Breakdown Structure).
- Creating Forecasts and Billing plans.
- Processing Purchase Orders and Invoices.
- Quality & HSE: Monitor and ensure that all work is performed in strict accordance with contractual agreements, quality standards, and Hitachi Energy’s policies for Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).
- Customer Satisfaction: Responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction and target fulfillment throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
Technical & Domain Expertise:
- Substation Automation Systems (SAS): A strong technical understanding of Substation Automation Systems is required. Experience working in the area of technical expertise related to Power Transmission, Power Distribution, or Relay Protection & Control systems is highly valued.
- Project Planning Tools: Ability to establish and manage project plans in MS Project is highly appreciated.
- ERP Proficiency: Experience from working in SAP for establishing WBS, Forecasts, Billing plan, Purchase orders, and invoices is almost a must.
Experience and Certification:
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years’ experience managing projects of different size, complexity, and contractual types.
- Certification (One of the following is required):
- PMP® Certification from Project Management Institute.
- IPMA Level C/D certification.
- Education (One of the following is required):
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar in Engineering with domain experience in Renewable energy business.
- Another technical degree with 10–15 years of work experience within the relevant field.
Language Requirements (Mandatory):
- Swedish (Mandatory): Communicate fluent in both written and spoken Swedish language is mandatory.
- English (Mandatory): Communicate fluent in both written and spoken English language is mandatory.
