Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients a Sr. Application Engineering Manager to join the Adhesive Technologies business unit, empowering industries with adhesives, sealants, and functional coatings. In this role, you will lead an engineering team supporting the company’s top accounts in the consumer electronics market, develop new adhesives and processes to become a best-in-class partner, promote a culture of learning and personal development, mentor team members for long-term career growth, manage CapEx, drive continuous improvements in labs and capabilities, and ensure compliance with safety, legal, and industry/customer specifications.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the engineering team in supporting top accounts in the consumer electronics market to develop new adhesives and processes.
- Promote a culture of learning, collaboration, and personal development.
- Mentor team members and support their long-term career growth.
- Manage CapEx and drive continuous improvements of labs and capabilities to be future-ready.
- Ensure compliance with all company requirements (safety, legal) and relevant industry/customer specifications.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
- 10 years of experience with adhesives and films/tapes materials used in consumer electronics devices.
- 5 years of experience leading a team of at least 5+ engineers/scientists as direct reports.
- Capacity to use agile methodologies and adapt to changing customer needs and market conditions.
- Familiarity with FEA, flow modeling, CAD, and lab automation technologies.
