Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients a Sr. Manager in Trade Compliance to manage trade compliance matters and teams within the Tactical Communications Sector of the Communication Systems segment. In this on-site role in Rochester, NY, you will oversee the development, implementation, and enforcement of policies, processes, and procedures; supervise the team; coordinate with directorates for compliant solutions; advise on USG trade laws/regulations for exports/imports; and collaborate with stakeholders on international sales. You will lead a team of 15, report to the Global Trade Compliance Segment Director, and work a 9/80 schedule (80 hours bi-weekly with every other Friday off).
What You’ll Do
- Oversee all trade compliance matters and manage trade compliance teams in the Tactical Communications Sector.
- Develop, implement, and enforce trade compliance policies, processes, and procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the trade compliance team to accomplish responsibilities.
- Coordinate with Licensing, Operations & Training, and Customs & Traffic Directorates to ensure compliant business solutions, including advising on USG trade laws/regulations for export approvals, training, and documentation for exports/imports.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders in pursuing international sales opportunities.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s Degree (or Graduate Degree with relevant experience).
- 12 years of prior relevant experience (or equivalent with advanced degree).
- 3 years of experience leading a high-performing team.
- 5 years of experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
- 5 years of experience with U.S. trade sanctions programs, including Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
