Role Overview
We are hiring a Senior Procurement Specialist - CAPEX Construction for one of our client in Ludvika. You will lead strategic sourcing and category management for large-scale CAPEX construction projects, conducting market research, supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and ensuring compliance with quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, HSE, and regulatory standards. You will drive continuous improvement using CIPS processes, manage budgets/spending/savings, adapt corporate frameworks to local needs, and provide oversight across project phases in a matrix organization. This senior role requires strong procurement expertise in CAPEX construction, strategic sourcing, and supplier performance management with limited oversight.
What You’ll Do
Conduct market research and analysis for CAPEX construction suppliers
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability
Manage end-to-end sourcing: negotiations, contract awards, and administration
Track procurement activities, budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts
Implement effective sourcing strategies aligned with business goals using CIPS
Minimize risks in quality and financial exposure through compliant contracting
Adapt corporate contractual frameworks to local business needs
Provide ongoing supplier oversight and contract management
Ensure HSE, regulatory, and quality compliance across project phases
Support project teams and tenders with process alignment and operational excellence
Who You Are
Must-Have Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or related discipline
Minimum 5+ years of experience in large-scale CAPEX construction projects and strategic sourcing
Proven track record in developing and implementing global category strategies
Good understanding of technical categories in capital projects (building services, process equipment, construction, technical contractors)
Strong project management, execution, and organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Office tools (including MS Project, MS Excel) and SAP Ariba
Fluent in Swedish and English (both spoken and written – mandatory)
Valid SSG-Entré certificate
Nice to Have
Multi-lingual (additional foreign languages)
Superior negotiation skills in complex, intercultural, multi-business environments.
