Role Overview
We are hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Components & Products for one of our clients in Piteå. In this role, you will independently plan, design, develop, and improve production processes, tools, fixtures, and components for manufacturing. You will program CNC machines, test equipment, prepare new product implementations, maintain production standards (including risk management), troubleshoot processes, and actively participate in product/process development projects. This senior position requires strong technical skills in mechanical engineering/production technology, a practical/theoretical balance, and the ability to work independently in a small team environment.
What You’ll Do
Develop and improve production processes and methods
Design, procure, and commission product-specific tools and fixtures
Program CNC machines and test equipment
Prepare, implement, and test new products in production
Create and maintain standards for production practices and risk management
Participate in cross-functional teams for product and process development
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and drive improvements
Purchase of machinery and tools in SAP.
Who You Are
Must-Have Requirements
Minimum six years of work experience within the relevant field and a bachelor or master’s degree, or Another technical degree with more than 15 years of work experience within relevant field.
Fluent in Swedish and English (both spoken and written – mandatory)
Valid SSG-Entré certificate
Strong analytical, structured, responsible, and team-oriented mindset
Genuine interest in technology and continuous learning
Ability to work 100% on-site in Piteå
Nice to Have
Basic knowledge of 3D modeling and drawing in CREO or similar tools
