Role Overview
We are hiring a Senior Software Release Engineer for one of our clients in Gothenburg. In this senior role, you will own software release and configuration management for automotive projects. You will manage SW signing, release milestones, supplier deliveries, documentation, and support factory/aftermarket operations in a high-precision environment. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to improve processes, ensure compliance, and deliver high-quality software releases. This position requires strong technical expertise in automotive SW release, CI/CD, variant/branch management, and release documentation, along with excellent communication and process improvement skills.
What You’ll Do
Manage SW signing, release milestones, and documentation (SUMS manifest, Loadfiles manifest, Compliance Report)
Ensure alignment of Carcom and SDB diagnostic signal databases
Facilitate SW release approvals, deviations, and supplier release planning
Follow up on supplier SW backlog, deliveries, QOP/Finance topics, and SW Joint Reviews (SWJR)
Support factory and aftermarket through deviations and SW release processes
Assist sourcing, prepare SWRS (Software Requirement Specification) for BaseTech/Application
Contribute to continuous improvement of SW release and configuration management processes
Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance quality
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or similar
Strong experience in SW release and configuration management in the automotive industry
Expertise in CI/CD, SW variants/branch management, and SW release documentation
Familiarity with automotive vehicle product development processes
Strong technical background and communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
Fluent in spoken and written English
Hands-on experience with tools: Jenkins, ConfigHub, Victoria, Artifactory, KDP, TCPLM, Teamcenter, Carweaver, Carcom, SDB, TPDE, TPDS, DESD, QOP/VPC, Pecca Procost, Lotus Notes, Vira, Confluence
Experience with supplier management and joint reviews in automotive SW projects
