Role Overview:
We are seeking an intermediate-level "Mechanical Design Engineer" for one of our client's, to join their Forest & Garden Division. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the development of next-generation ride-on products. As part of a lean and agile team, you will be responsible for the mechanical design and quality assurance of new projects, taking them from early concept phases through to prototype evaluation.
This position requires a "hands-on" engineer who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing independent design tasks with close cross-functional collaboration.
What You’ll Do:
Design & Development: Lead mechanical design efforts for ride-on products, focusing specifically on components made from steel and plastics.
CAD Modeling: Utilize CATIA V5 to create high-quality 3D models, technical drawings, and design specifications.
Prototype Evaluation: Collaborate closely with the testing lab to evaluate prototypes, analyze test results, and iterate designs to ensure superior quality and customer experience.
Project Planning: Independently plan and manage your work packages to secure on-time deliveries without compromising quality standards.
Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as a key communicator between internal departments (Purchasing, Lab, R&D) and external suppliers to optimize design for manufacturability and cost.
Innovation: Contribute to the development of new, future-oriented products that align with commitment to sustainability and high performance.
Who You Are?
Must-Have Skills:
Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience: 2–5 years of professional experience in mechanical design (Level 2 Seniority).
Software: Advanced proficiency in CATIA V5.
Material Knowledge: Demonstrated experience in design for steel and plastic components.
Languages: Fluency in both Swedish and English (spoken and written).
Presence: Ability to work 100% on-site at the Huskvarna facility.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Knowledge or an interest in Mechatronics or Electronics.
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Assignment Details
Workload: 100% (40 hours/week)
Payment Terms: 60 + 3-5 banking days.
