Senior SAS Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAS Engineer for one of our client's to join a long-term Brownfield EPCI framework agreement.
In this role, you will be responsible for the quality, delivery, and integration of Safety and Automation Systems (SAS). You will act as a technical pillar within the project, ensuring that all automation designs are robust, safe, and in full compliance with Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) standards.
What You'll Do?
System Design & Integration: Lead SAS system design for process, utility, and electrical systems, including interfaces, Functional Specifications (FS), and HMI input.
Engineering Deliverables: Prepare and complete core SAS documents such as System Control Diagrams (SCDs), Fire & Gas (F&G) layouts, Cause & Effect (C&E) matrices, and ESD/PSD block logic.
Quality Assurance: Act as a verifier for all discipline deliveries, including alarm classification, software reports, and HMI documentation to ensure peak quality.
Safety Participation: Actively participate in Fire & Gas safety reviews and interdisciplinary design assessments.
Vendor Follow-up: Manage vendor technical documentation and participate in testing activities/Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
Project Coordination: Liaise with other engineering disciplines, suppliers, and the client to ensure all required information is identified and communicated for project progress.
Who You Are:
We accept candidates meeting one of the following seniority levels:
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Engineering College / Craft Certificate with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
Upper Secondary School / Vocational Curriculum with a minimum of 18 years of high-level experience.
Required Skills:
Extensive experience with Oil & Gas projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
Deep familiarity with NORSOK standards and Norwegian regulatory requirements.
Professional fluency in both Norwegian and English (Mandatory).
Ability to work independently on separate tasks while maintaining strong interdisciplinary cooperation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with ConocoPhillips (COPNO) related projects is highly advantageous.
Software & Systems:
Proficiency in the following tools is required:
TIME (Project/engineering tool)
Microsoft Visio (For SCD and logic drawings)
SAP and MIPS
Evaluation Criteria:
Candidates will be assessed based on the following prioritized points:
NCS & NORSOK Expertise: Documented experience with Norwegian offshore regulations.
Software Proficiency: Practical experience with TIME, Visio, and SAP.
Project Track Record: Proven history within Oil & Gas Brownfield/M&M projects.
Verification Skills: Demonstrated ability to check and quality-assure SAS documentation.
