Role Overview
We are hiring an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist for one of our clients in Västerås. In this role, you will take independent responsibility for the full payroll process, ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll operations. You will manage payroll administration, including pensions and insurance, interpret and apply collective agreements (particularly the Technology Industry Agreements), and support managers and employees with payroll-related matters. You will collaborate with authorities, unions, and external partners, contribute to statistical reporting and compliance activities, and actively participate in improving payroll and HR operational processes. This role requires strong payroll expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a structured, service-oriented team environment.
What You’ll Do
Handle all stages of the payroll process independently.
Administration of time reporting, absences, travel expenses, reimbursements, pension and insurance reporting.
Prepare and support statistical reporting related to payroll, compensation, and employee data.
Interpret and apply collective agreements, particularly the Technology Industry Agreements.
Provide payroll, pension, and agreement support to managers and employees.
Communicate with authorities, unions, and external partners.
Participate in developing and improving payroll/HR routines and processes.
Ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all tasks.
Who You Are
Must-Have Requirements:
Several years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Administrator.
Solid knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance.
Experience in pension administration and insurance matters.
Comfortable working with payroll and HR systems.
Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
Service-oriented, structured, responsible, and positive toward development/change.
Fluent in Swedish and English (both spoken and written – mandatory).
Valid SSG-Entré certificate.
Nice to Have:
In-depth knowledge of Technology Industry Agreements (IF Metall, Unionen, Engineers, Managers).
